Homework is reading (at least x3 weekly), spellings and learning facts from our Science and Topic knowledge organisers. We expect the children to read and revise their spellings every night. Spellings will be given out on Thursday and will be tested on the following Thursday. The facts that need to be learnt from the knowledge organisers will be starred in the homework books as the term progresses. Every week there will be some fun quizzes for the children to show what they have learnt. We may ask children to do other homework to support their current learning as well. We will ask the children to record all homework in their diaries.
Things to Remember
Please remember to have your PE kit in school on a Monday.
Swimming is on Mondays all year.
Bring in book bag and diary every day.
Reading - target of three or more home reads a week signed in diary by parent/guardian.
Spelling test - given out on Thursday and tested the following Thursday.
Homework – Apart from weekly spellings, reading and knowledge organiser facts, occasional topic homework is given.
Swimming will continue to take place on Mondays, until the end of the year. It is such an important skill for the children and part of our curriculum. Children can only be exempt from swimming for medical reasons. Please make your child’s teacher aware of any asthma cases.
